Amaranth Staff Meeting

As part of Amaranth’s student staff, you will get to work on a journal from its infancy through to publication, evaluating submissions, working in a creative team environment, designing a product within a set budget, and meeting production deadlines.

With the support and guidance of the faculty advisor, student staff will be able to develop a professional attitude about writing and publishing, cultivating transferable skills of leadership, organization, critical evaluation of creative work, teamwork and team building for fields such as editing, proofreading, marketing, publishing, and writing.

As a staff member, you’ll get to attend weekly meetings, read and vote on pieces submitted to the journal, and have the chance to participate and assist with Amaranth-based events, such as Coffeehouse and the SGA’s Involvement Fair.

Participating in Amaranth gives students hands-on experience with developing a creative arts journal from conception through production. 

PLEASE NOTE: We will meet in a hybrid format. You can attend either in-person or via Zoom.
